Single sex and co-education
Single sex and co-education
Our twin school structure combines the best features of single sex and co-education
We offer single sex academic classes in a co-educational setting. This helps all our children to achieve their academic potential as well as a rounded social development.
It is well recognised that boys and girls learn differently and mature at different rates in the Primary years. We have adapted our teaching methodology to take account of these differences in the following way:
From Year 2 to Year 6 our boys and girls are taught apart in small single sex classes for their academic lessons because this is when their differing learning needs are at their most marked.
Outside the classroom we are co-educational. This enables our children to gain the full benefits of social interaction through sharing our outstanding facilities and exceptional extracurricular opportunities.
